Crop Protection
Safe & Responsible Use of Pesticides
Protect workers, consumers and the environment through correct handling, application and disposal of plant protection products.
Course overview
Maximum residue level (MRL) rejections and worker exposure incidents almost always trace back to habits at the farm level: wrong product, wrong rate, wrong interval, wrong protection.
This hands-on course combines classroom sessions with field practicals on calibration, mixing, application and triple rinsing so that behaviour actually changes after the training.
What participants will be able to do
- Read and apply the pesticide label as a legal document
- Select, use and maintain personal protective equipment correctly
- Calibrate knapsack and motorised sprayers for accurate dosing
- Respect pre-harvest intervals, re-entry intervals and MRL requirements
- Store, transport and dispose of products and containers safely
