Certification & Compliance
GLOBALG.A.P. Standards Implementation
Understand and implement GLOBALG.A.P. IFA requirements for fruit, vegetables and flowers, including group (Option 2) management.
Course overview
GLOBALG.A.P. remains the entry ticket to most formal export markets for Kenyan horticulture. Failing control points during an external audit is expensive and delays shipments.
We take farms and producer groups through the control points and compliance criteria, the evidence auditors expect, and the internal quality management system required for Option 2 group certification.
What participants will be able to do
- Interpret IFA control points and compliance criteria for your crop
- Build the farm record system: spray, harvest, hygiene and worker records
- Run internal inspections and internal audits for producer groups
- Manage risk assessments for site, water, hygiene and post-harvest handling
- Close non-conformances before the certification body arrives
